公司筹建于1978年，1988年成立于中国台湾省高雄市。2000年股票上柜，成为台湾地区股票上柜的中央空调制造企业。
为了更好地服务于亚洲市场，堃霖集团分别于2000年在上海、2006年在江苏苏州，2009年在越南胡志明市投资重金，成立堃霖冷冻机械（上海）有限公司，堃霖冷冻机械（苏州）有限公司、堃霖冷冻机械（越南）有限公司，形成了以4个专业制造基地，60余个销售服务网络，覆盖中国各省区、越南、菲律宾、印尼、泰国、马来西亚等地的亚洲战略布局。至2024年初，堃霖集团注册资金已达4190万美金。

KUENLING was founded in 1978 and established in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in 1988, and was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2000, becoming the largest central air-conditioning manufacturer in Taiwan.
